Whether you are trying to eat a little bit healthier, or have food allergies/ senstivities, there are still ways to create delicious baked goods; here are some substitutions that you can make when baking. For other baking substitutions, check out my previous post!

Sugar:

When baking, sugar is meant to add sweetness to recipes. If you do not like granulated sugar, you can use other methods to sweeten your recipe.

- Agave Nectar

- Apple Sauce

- Coconut Sugar

- Maple Syrup

- Honey

- Stevia

Flour:

Flour is an important part of the baking process. It helps the product to rise.

- Gluten Free Flour

- Rice Flour

- Buckwheat Flour

Eggs:

When it comes to finding substitutes for eggs, it can be a little tricky. When baking, eggs serve an important purpose to recipes. Eggs are there to help bind, lift and emulsify everything together. Here are some other ways to help bind your ingredients.

- Apple Sauce

- Apple Cider Vinegar and a little of baking powder

- Mashed Banana

Milk:

When traditionally baking, the use of whole milk is preferred. If you are allergic to dairy or have a dairy sensitivity or just don't like it, luckily there are many choices to choose from! If you are going to use coconut, almond or cashew style milk, make sure you use the original flavor. If you use a flavored dairy alternative milk, it will change the taste, but also might change the consistency of the batter.

- Coconut

- Almond

- Cashew

- 2% milk

- 1% milk

- Whole milk

- Soy milk
