Fettuccine with Red Wine Tomato Sauce

Easy Italian-style dinner with delicious homemade tomato sauce!


Ingredients:

  • 1 box of pasta

  • 8 slices of rolled & cut Prosciutto ( if you don't eat meat, you can use your favorite vegan option or turkey sausage!)

  • 2 diced cloves of garlic

  • 2 diced small white onions

  • 12 Cherry tomatoes

  • 1/4 diced shallot

  • 1 can (12oz) of diced tomatoes with garlic & basil

  • 1 can (8oz)Tomato paste with garlic & basil

  • Dried parsley or fresh parsley

  • 1/2 cup of red wine

Directions:

  1. Boil water & salt pasta water, once brought to a boil, add pasta. (Boil pasta for 8-10 minutes) then simmer or take off the heat.

  2. In a large saucepan, brown prosciutto. Once browned remove from pan.

  3. Next, sauté cherry tomatoes, onion, shallots, and garlic.

  4. Then add crushed tomatoes & tomato paste.

  5. Once incorporated, add red wine stir & simmer.

  6. After the pasta is drained, combine the sauce and pasta.

  7. Serve and enjoy!
