Grandma's Banana Bread

This easy & delicious homemade banana bread recipe will leave your mouth watering and will remind you of your grandma's baking.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1/2 cup butter (1 full stick)

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 cup mashed bananas

  • 2 cups flour

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 cup chopped pecans

  • 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice


Recipe:

  1. Heat Oven to 325 F.

  2. Grease your loaf pan with Crisco.

  3. Cream butter & sugar together in a mixing bowl. Once combined add your eggs and beat. Next, mash your bananas and pour the lemon juice over your banana bread, then add in mashed bananas.

  4. Mix baking powder and salt with flour to the mixture. Save enough flour to add in with the pecans last.




This prevents them from falling to the bottom.




5. Decorate your bread with leftover whole pecans (optional).



6. Bake at 325 F degrees for an hour or until the bread tests are done.

7. Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack.

8. Once cooled, wrap the bread in plastic wrap until you're ready to serve.




Serves well toasted with butter.
