Thanksgiving Treats!

Thanksgiving is only a week away! Here are some treats that you can do with your family.


1. Easy to make slice and bake Pillsbury Turkey cookies.

- Follow instructions on the packaging.





2. Homemade Pumpkin pie

- Buy Pillsbury pie crust, or a frozen pie crust and follow the instructions according to the packaging.

- Buy a can of your favorite Pumpkin Puree and follow the instructions on the back to make the filling.

- Don't forget to make a homemade whipped cream or use your favorite whipped cream topping.




3. Grandma's favorite Mile High Apple Pie!





- Purchase a Pillsbury pie crust, and follow the instructions according to the packaging.

Filling:

8 Granny smith apples

4 Braeburn apples

1/4 cup of flour

2 Tbsp Apricot Jam

1 Tbsp fresh lime juice

3/4 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp nutmeg

1/3 cup sugar


Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees

  2. Peel and core apples, then cut them into 8 1/2 inch thick wedges. And place it into a large bowl.

  3. Stir in flour, jam, lime juice, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg, and sugar, and let it sit for 30 minutes.

  4. Fill Pillsbury piecrust with mountains apple slices towards the center.

  5. Pack the apples into the pie crust.

  6. Dab apples with butter.

  7. Put on top crust and create a small x on the top of the crust to let out the air.

  8. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes then reduce heat to 350 and bake for 35 minutes and cover with foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes.


4. Pilgrim Hat cookies




Ingredients:

1. 1 Package Keebler Fudge Stripes Cookies

2. Large Marshmallows

3. Yellow cookie frosting

4. Dark chocolate dipping chocolate

Instructions:

1. Take cookies out of the packaging.

2. Place cookie chocolate side up on the plate.

3. Melt the dipping chocolate and coat large marshmallows. Place them on a piece of parchment paper to harden.

4. Next, take a glob of yellow frosting and adhere the marshmallows to the cookie

5. With the yellow cookie frosting, pipe a small rectangle to act as a belt buckle.

6. Plate, serve, and enjoy!
